Anyone know a good tv remote app? I can't seem to find a good one that works on my HiSense tv.
Does Stocard work well?
The barcode scans etc?
Was only thinking lately an app would be awesome
Just started using it. Yes I use it for my flybuys and it works. Only negative is that it prompts me to read the latest Coles catalogues.
I will stick with it for now. I just need to load my GYG loyalty card.
I block it using a firewall, and I think there is a setting to change this as well. My issue with stocard is I can't seem to access my cards on my new phone, and the forgot password is useless.
@bradn: How do you block apps using a firewall? Does that need a separate app?
@inherentchoice: Yes - I use NO ROOT FIREWALL

It allows you to let apps access specific urls, whilst blocking others.
You can create global rules as well as app specific rules.
If your phone is rooted look at Droid wall instead.

Beep and go works well too. Never had any issues scanning barcodes.
Deliveries is bloody awesome (for the international buying Ozbargainer). Thank you for bringing this up.
downloaded deliveries, seems pretty cool. thanks for the highlight

I don't need to install but use the native apps inc chrome etc too obviously
Since I am a tablet user, I think my app choices would be different, but since I am an Android user as well, my list are:
1.Nova Launcher
2.PowerAmp
3.Hancom Office (which surprisingly is better than MS Office as far as I experienced, I might give MS Office another go, but for now, Hancom Office works fine)
4.SNS apps (i.e. Facebook, KakaoTalk etc)
5.(Welp, this is more of Windows Phone thing but if I didn't have a WP phone or had an Android phone, I know that I would get this app for certain) Office Lens
or if I cannot talk about Office Lens, MX Player.
Honourable mentions go to:
Multi-screen function on the tablet (Not really an app)
Inbox by Gmail (Already comes with the Android as far as I remember)
Firefox (I like Firefox more than Chrome, since it doesn't hide the time, but I think it's very preferential thing)
YNAB (I end up doing using it more on PC, since tablet is not ideal to carry around in public nor have access to internet half the time)
Had to make it 7, but 2 are GApps, so it's kind of 5…
Standout one for me is Puzzle Alarm Clock!
Saves me almost every morning by being an alarm clock that actually checks you are awake and and that you haven't gone back to sleep!
Smart Launcher Pro 2 (this is the launcher for Lazy people, since it automatically categorizes your apps). There is no real homescreen to speak of — it has a lockscreen and an app drawer.
