What's the difference between the FREE ES File Explorer and this Amaze Root File Explorer? Just wondering because i've been using ES File Explorer for about 2 years now. Just wondering whether the differences are worth the change over.
No. ES File Explorer is the sauce. Steak sauce.
Figured, I mean I paid for the Pro Verson to support them awhile back. They've made some massive changes since the 4.2 —> 4.4.1 and 5.0 Releases of Android.
If you are interested in another file explorer try x-plore. I am an ES file explorer convert as I find two pane file browsing to make operations much much faster.
I personally love the "Gesture Recording" touch. It allows you to make a certain shape and it does a specific task. It's pretty awesome if I do say so.
Just checked it out. I really really dislike the interface. Unfortunate as it looks quite good for functionality. But it's aesthetic is not appealing.
@DAOtmc: Yeah I hate the default theme too. Tap the three dots in the top right and then Configuration, scroll to the very bottom and tick the box for "Dark theme" and it looks a million times better. While in the config at the top there is a big rectangle that lets you change the root access mode to Superuser + Mount writable and then you can access anything on your phone with no issues.
I like it because I have a bunch of LAN servers (they are SMB shares) added, and Box,Drive, 2 onedrive accounts, 2 dropbox accounts & a mega account added and you can easily transfer things to/from the cloud services. It even lets you transfer straight from one network location to another without having to manually put it in a temp folder first and then move it to desired destination.
