  • Price in title please :)

  • I want this so I don't get anymore dingleberries

  • might be worth the extra $30 ($299 @ shaver shop ) as it comes with 90 day money back guarantee from Philips

    • Hmm, will you see results within 30 days?

      • +1

sorry its 90 days , typo

Looks like the shavershop page is wrong, apparently it doesn't include this model according to the terms and conditions page.

        • +1

@scarypacman: It's says the model right there.. SC1981. It's in the first list. That's good enough to argue the point if they try to deny it, IMO.

@waterlogged turnip: You're right… the Philips page is inconsistent in that it gives the model number at the top but doesn't display the thumbnail or the model number at the bottom.

    Smooth as eggs

  • Can this be used on the face? Eyebrows etc?

    • Product description says upper lip and chin usage. I would hesitate to put it near eyes due to laser flashing as potential to damage your eyes would be quite significant.

      • It's not a laser, it's pretty broadband light. Looks like it will look a bit like a very bright camera flash.

I know where I'll be using this. Thanks OP

Will you be adding Smooth to your username?

Please don't end up like this dude

  • I think the price drop shows how effective this device is…

  • I saw this and was like =O "does it work?"

May be this will rib of all my hairs in my nether region. LOL

  • You definitely want to go for one that has a trial period. Got one (better than this one) for my girlfriend who should be a perfect candidate (light skin, dark hair) and it was useless. So lucky we got the $500 back.

  • I've used this one and it doesn't do much, the Phillips lumea was much better but still not the best unfortunately

    • +1

You do need to use them more than once to get results. It takes quite a few zaps over weeks.

      • Yes I know… I'm basing This on around 4-5 months worth

        • Sorry, I misread your 'one' as 'once' :-)

  • This one is the Lumea

    • Opps sorry I refer to this one as the comfort. I mean the more expensive one that came out originally :)

  • 90 Return period is over. From the Philips T&C's

To claim, individuals must purchase an eligible Philips Lumea product between 01.02.14 and close of business on 28.02.15 (“Purchase Period”) from any Shaver Shop owned and operated store or website, or any website through which Shaver Shop sells nationally. Other internet sales are excluded from this offer. Eligible products include: SC2006, SC2003, SC2002, SC2001, SC2001-01, SC1981, SC1991, TT3003, SC1996 (“Eligible Product”).

    • its been extended till 30/6/2015. Read terms and conditions

4: Individuals have up to ninety (90) days to trial the Eligible Product and must return the Eligible Product by last mail
received 30th June 2015 should they be unsatisfied with the Eligible Product. Individuals must have trialled the
Eligible Product continuously for a minimum of 70 days and no more than 90 days. If after 70- 90 days of using the
Eligible Product in the recommended manner, the individual is not convinced that the Eligible Product provides
satisfactory results, the individual will be eligible to claim a refund of the full purchase amount for that Eligible
      Product

      • No it has not.

You have to buy it between 01.02.14 and close of business on 28.02.15 you then have until 30th June 2015 to return the product.

        Did you misread something?

        • I emailed shavershop, they say the 90-day money back guarantee is still valid, the form just hasn't been updated yet. They did not give an expiry date.

I suppose it's valid as long as the ad is on their website?

        • @eug:
I wouldn't trust what shavershop say as to get the refund you have to send the product back to philips with the completed form. I can see a situation where you try to return it to shavershop and they tell you no that isn't handled by us please contact philips. If you were really considering this I would email philips and get it in writing from them.

        • @tictac242: Since the deal is specific to shavershop (it's mentioned in the t&c) I think their word should be good enough. The email they sent would be solid ground for a fair trading complaint anyway.

  • This one is what we tried - still has a 90 day trial period
