Just wondering whether it is worth subscribing to ABC Reading Eggs for my four year old who starts school next year. I've recieved an email offering it for $59.95 for twelve months. Is that a good price? Do kids get bored of it quickly? Just on day two of the trial.
Check with your school. Often they have free vouchers for 12 months (or a program which uses it). Or stalk them on Facebook for half price deals.
My kids loved Reading Eggs and went through phases of using it a lot.
I think it really did help them start to learn to read but they were already in prep when they started and had learned the letters already. I don't think we purchased a subscription as our school subscribed for all the kids but I do remember there were a lot of codes for free trials around.
It's great bought full price will buy again if needed,
My son, also 4 uses it too and is loving it at the moment. He goes through phases of interest like all kids, but that coupled with reading to him, has interest and spurs on his word and letter recognition.
Saying that, all kids are different, but parental encouragement should aim your child in the right direction.
