Help please. ZTE MF70 - unlocked but how do I connect as Telstra GUI keeps coming up

Hello everybody,

I have unlocked the ZTE MF70 modem (from the $10 deal at Big W) using DC Unlocker and DCCrap. I think it worked as it connect to the network if I put an amaysim sim in (the network light is blue).
However, as soon as I plug the modem into the computer the Telstra interface comes up.
How do I actually connect to the internet using a sim other than Telstra? Do I ignore that interface? Is there anything else I need to do?

I would be really grateful for any help or instructions.

    Not familiar with the software, but assume it's the Telstra connection manager software?

    Perhaps uninstall, and use the Windows native interface to setup the amaysim connection.

    Otherwise perhaps install the ZTE software: http://www.zte.com.au/telstra/MF70.htm

    The interface has nothing to do with whether it is unlocked… at least not for my Telstra 4G modem. I've unlocked it and it works fine with the Telstra GUI, you could always do what I did and flash it with an unbranded GUI if you can find one for your device.
