Do 3G/4G bands differ by region? Should include the details in the original post, if so.
SM-G920F
The F in the name signifies that it's the European variant, this may have different bands to what is used in Australia and there is limited information online to back up that it will work. Even GSMArena isn't even sure on what LTE bands are available as of yet:
Technology
GSM / HSPA / LTE
2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G bands HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G bands LTE
Speed HSPA 42.2/5.76 Mbps, LTE Cat6 300/50 Mbps
GPRS Yes
EDGE Yes
Yea you gotta becareful with the ones that come overseas, the grey imports that Kogan and Yatango sell don't support Telstra's 4GX 700MHz but the ones that the Telstra sell do
They're listed here…no band 28

Guys be aware that Samsung started "region-locking" its phones from a while back (I believe only in the European and American Markets). The European Samsung Galaxy S5, Note 3 and Note 4 were all definitely region-locked so where S4s and Note IIs manufactured after a certain date. So before you buy make sure you contact Samsung and make sure the S6 isn't region locked, otherwise you will end up with a phone that is only good for use in Europe.
You can actually unlock the phone if you have a European SIM. All you need to do is make 10 minutes worth of phone calls with a SIM from the region the phone comes from. After that it will work in all regions. However, if you activate a region locked phone using a SIM from a different region it will be locked!
Not sure about Amazon DE but I return something to Amazon US recently. It was very easy and they reimburse me most of the return postage. If the phone come up not working on your SIM just lodge a return and send it back.
What about a phone say s5 from oz and I ended up back in uk will I have the same issue as will have used in oz?
No, Aussie stock is not region locked
However you can have the issue of not all 4g frequencies working, as they may differ in different countries
Im pretty sure 4g in uk well from where I came from was not around or pretty poor so no worries there but im sure if there is 4g then oz phone be ok have had no issues with an older model of phone coming over here.
make up your mind please?
