"An extremely popular model, the Fisher & Paykel DE50F56E1 clothes dryer has all the features you need to get your laundry dry in a hurry. Well-designed, reliable and efficient, this clothes dryer is a top choice for any home.

Many people are reluctant to use a dryer because they think they're expensive to run. However, there are some times in life when it's not possible to use a clothesline, which is when a dryer can be a lifesaver. If you're trying to keep your electricity bills down, this Fisher & Paykel dryer is a good choice because it is reasonably energy efficient, and it also features Autosense technology to stop the dryer once your clothes have reached the required dryness levels. This means your dryer is not running for a minute longer than is necessary.

Choose from 5 dryness settings to control the amount of moisture left in your clothes (slightly damp clothes make ironing easier). All things considered, the Fisher & Paykel DE50F56E1 gives you tremendous value for money."

Bundle this with AGL free Saturday promotion and you will have you clothes dry at $341 for 1 year without spending a cent on electricity.

    • Can you please elaborate more on this?

      • Search OzB.. only available in Vic.

  • The cheapest price I could find was from the electrical discounter - $419

Secondsworld has seconds for $389 (from memory). And there have been a few historic deals slightly cheaper posted on OzB - back when the Exchange rate was better…

I bought one of these (Good Guys eBay + code) over the weekend. Reviews are the best I've seen for a dryer, most of which are 100% negative.. this has 80% positive reviews!

    • +1

Yeah, didn't want to mention the Secondsworld price as it's only 1 year warranty and could have scuff marks etc.

Not to be mean with op's informative post but cant stop laughing at 2 star rating
Your clothesline = 5 star rating.

    • -4

Clothes on the clothesline on a rainy day = no clothes.

What do you expect for a Vented Dryer? A 2 star rating is actually really good at this price point, you won't find a more efficient one.

If you want 4-5 star ratings you need to drop 2k on a heat pump Dryer.

Have you never bought a dryer mate? S'all good, Maybe you use your mums. Did she pack your tiny teddies for lunch today? Burn! :D

        that was a shit troll.

        • More of a joke than a troll

        • @millzy:
you should probably take your lunch box full of tiny teddies and go back to joke/troll school.

        • @tuzii:

Nice one! Maybe you should join me.

  • I personally would buy any F&P products. Use to have the whole range, they all broke under 3 years (Stove, oven, fridge, front loader, dryer and dishwasher)

Might want to edit your post… "would buy any F&P products"
