    Firstly, why do you state that the LCD is 24" and then in brackets 23.6. It's 23.6, so why try to say its 24? Secondly, the LCD isn't really a deal when you can pick it up from MWave or Stonebridge for about $10 difference but with those stores you actually get customer support.

  • A good bargain is where a product is offered at both a nice price and where respectable customer service is not compromised or non-existent.

          So to be helpful what was the issue you had - if it was service in the store and you bought then it must have been a deal at that time, or was it poor after sales service?

    I've heard about Fluidtek's bad service but this is something else.

    I don't believe 5% off the best price is a 'bargain' especially in the spirit of this site. A better price, yes, but one you can certainly afford to miss. Keep promoting your store with the 'daily specials' (seven 'bargains' in the last four weeks, I can only presume due to posting restrictions).

    Gotta love the previous comment on your attitude:

    It might be time to stop smacking back quips and generally thinking about the customers' replies. Trust me with this friendly advice, you're not winning points with the back chat.

    Who are you? Yes another member posting under another name - kill this account before both accounts get banned.

    You realise that using fake accounts just weakens your arguments.

    Advice to everyone inc BargainCrypt.

    Getting personal, and smart comments helps nothing, it detracts from every point you make. Foul language just puts everyone off and they miss the points you are making.

    In effect Fluidtek, dont offer service, they offer price, and yes others do beat them on price. MSY are famous for the same, wait 30 minutes get to the end, they they are out of stock. And then you have no time to decide on an alternative if there is one.

    My experience with Fluidtek, when in line they (usually Eddy) ask you what do you want, they tell you its outta stock, period, they move on to the next customer.

    Yep that's cold hard and "rude" but you know where you stand, if you want to discuss options or which or 5 alternatives are better go somewhere else, as that takes time, and costs sales, and on a low margin you gotta get sales to make a profit. If you decide to stay you have time to think about alternatives before you reach the counter.

    And ever been caught in the 30 minute or more queue at MSY while someone is querying the staff about which $10 USB hub is best suited for their 386PC and if it works with Vista etc etc. I wished at that time the sales staff were rude and told them to get lost. So horses for courses, to me they wouldn't be rude, they'd be heroes.

    And advice to Bargaincrypt - which was also sent by email directly, and heeded, as you notice they are not "defending" thru attacks anymore. Leave comments alone. Dont get smart and attack. Defend by pointing out errors, validate legitimate criticism, like, yes we dont give personalised service, sorry but that's one way we cut costs etc etc. We are a community here and we defend others here when it gets personal.

    So yes tell others Fluidtek moves boxes, so that when our friends here, if they do go there, then they have the right expectation, but lets keep the emotion and fakes out of this and enjoy what bargains that are on offer.

    And just so the records straight - my positive vote was for the deal price, not for Fluidtek per se.

    At the risk of being off side to the admins of this site. I think the people voting negatives are more than in their rights. It is stated by ozbargain:
    "As OzBargain is a community website, deals that you have posted will be judged and voted by our community members. If it is not a good bargain, expect votes against them."

    The deals being posted by Fluidtek, 'service' issues aside, are not genuine bargains. You even state that MSY usually hold the same price or are cheaper. In conjunction with the stigma attached to this particular group, which genuine people are pointing out and is being enforced by the attitude of the rep.

    As you say, this is a site run by the community as much as anyone else and frankly, a single site posting their weekly 'specials' and than systematically abusing the community is, IMHO, intolerable.

    Please do not stick up for those abusing your system at the detriment of the community.
