Well, the information is for US, so I am not sure whether it will be released in Australia (highly likely I assume though), nor the price, but I think it's interesting enough. It's cherry trail Surface, with Windows 8.1.
Microsoft will sell four models of the Surface (USD)
2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for $499
4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage for $599
2GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and LTE support for $599
4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage with LTE support for $699.
It will be using Intel Quad-core Atom x7 processor running at 1.6GHz. The tablet is 8.7 mm thick and just 1.37 pounds.
It also has an 8MP rear camera and a 3.5MP front facing camera. The battery life is supposed to last up to 10 hours. Also it is with Windows 8.1 (Not RT)
Also the accessories that are being released along with it include, type cover, dock station and a pen.

The Surface 3 will be sold with a free one-year subscription to Office 365 Personal, a $69.99 value. In addition to access to the full versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote, it comes with 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage.
If this is x86, I will consider it
