Hi Folks, I have a friend who has Wii box, and she uses it for keep fit type type games. I would like your opinion on whats the best machine for this sort of thing. I have searched Google, and found Xbox and a couple of others. I am not in a position to go walking everyday, but could certainly play this sort of game.
Thanks
The Best Gaming Machine for Fitness Type Games

I'd recommend an xbox 360 or xbox one there are lots of fitness games available
This, it plays solitaire! And it simulates walking around in another country…
Anywhere, being serious, I think you are better off going with a console that has Zumba on it… there are always lazy ways to win in games, doubt you would be trying that hard… you're better just going to the gym.
Xbox is the way to go. All other consoles don't have true controllerless Kinect play.
Thanks for your answers so far. I should have told you my situation in my first post. I live in southern WA. Where we live, we have no mobile coverage, so if we were out walking and had an accident, calling the ambulance is out. We also live 30 kms from the nearest gym, a 60 klm round trip everyday is also out. I don't want to spend lots of money on a home gym, as we are pensioners. That's why I want to buy a fitness game that we can use on our TV.
Thanks again.whaat did you end up getting?
I tried the both the Wii and the Xbox, by hiring them from my local sports shop. Both really didn't do much for me, I found them boring after a few days. So I have hired a home gym and its in my garage, also I have gone back to walking, with a satellite phone, not much, about 5 klm a day. I had to force myself to get out of bed at 6.30am, but now I throw my feet out of bed and the rest follows.
Treadmill. Seriously just go to the gym.
What's your goal? If weight loss, then a game won't help at all unless it's something like Zumba. If just very basic or beginner fitness, then either a Wii/ Wii U or XBOX 360- both have basic fitness type games, just depends on how wide a selection you want. Otherwise, if you're not bothered with a gym (best option), then look up home exercises and start from there.
