I'm looking to buy a printer that also has a good quality scanner on it. I'm trying to de-clutter by scanning in all my documents and receipts onto my computer. I have one of small Kaiser Bass portable wifi scanners, but it has started to have lines streaking down the side of all scanned documents. I figured I may as well get a printer too now, as my old one is on its way out.
Any recommendations? I'd prefer it to be under $100 (if possible) and preferable from Dick Smith (I have a local one close).
Thanks! :)
No one has answered yet, so I will have a go.
I use a Canon MG5460 is a small business to scan invoices, statements etc.
I do prefer the Canon brand for printers. Mine came from MSY.
The printer is a couple of years old now, so I don't know if a similar current model would be within your budget.
It has five ink tanks and has wireless connection.
However, my main point is about the actual scanning.
I scan in B & W ( Greyscale I suppose) and at a low DPI.
This makes the scanning process much quicker and files much smaller.
As long as I can readily read the document, then that is fine with me.
So maybe a cheaper scanning MFP is what you need if you don't want to scan photos etc at high res.
(Streaks would be a deal killer)
Also I use a free program PDFill which can merge, split and do heaps of other things with PDF documents.
