Prices I've noticed for games at BigW

Trials Fusion $30 (often $23 in EB during sales)
    Rayman Legends $10
    LBP 3 $59

Those 3 in particular are way overpriced.

    • LBP is regularly $29 or less on the Cash Converters webshop.

EDIT: or I guess you could get it on Gumtree. Either way, it can be had for cheap.

      • I bought mine from ebay for $25 only and it was brand new.
        $89? no way!

    • Rayman Legends for $10? Is that now, or a past deal?

Not asking as a challenge, but because I want to get my hands on that game!

        Right now, XB1 and PS4.

        • Much obliged. Off for a walk now!

  • The game prices are way over priced. I bought the bundle with 3 games (lbp, infamous, driveclub) from the Target eBay 20% off sale for $423 and couldn't even sell the 3 games sealed for $20 each on Gumtree as everyone else has the same idea (supply was greater than demand).
It would have worked out more expensive than the standalone price at the time if I sold them for any cheaper..
So I just returned the whole lot for $529 and I'll just wait until a decent standalone price comes up… or I'll just pay retail when some decent games come out and be in front buy $100.. Plenty of ps3 games not touched yet anyway.

tldr; if you plan to sell the games makes sure you check gumtree isn't still flooded with them.

how do you return for 529 but bought it for 423?
am I missing something because wouldn't the receipt say 423?

      • See below dude. There's also a couple posts about this in the ebay Target20 thread from the other month.

    • 423 for a ps4 and 3 games is a nice deal .. Why did you end up returning it ? Because no one wanted to buy the games? And you got back 423 not 529…?

      • Because technically Target was paid the $529 but 20% of that was paid by eBay. My Pay Pal receipt shows the $423 which is what I paid but Target only ask to see the receipt they send, which shows the full price $529.

I returned it because I hadn't opened it after 3 weeks as I am still finishing off my PS3 backlog. I figured I'll take the free $106 and then I my mind I will always be paying say $294 instead of $400 during the next sale ;)

I also did the same with the N3DS, think I made $45 on that too… But that was just an impulse buy.

All this excluding the cash back from cash rewards too.

Edit: Actually don't even have to wait for a sale, this is a pretty good deal:
        http://m.target.com/p/500gb-playstation-4-with-free-the-last…

        • wait you mean you get 106$ extra from target when you asked for a refund???

          @CrazyMexican:
          Yep.
Because ebay funded 20% of the transaction, when it's returned I get that 20%, not ebay. Just a loophole with the deals like that I guess.

Probably could apply to this deal also: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/187802
Assuming the receipt the store provides is the same as target (doesn't show the ebay discount)… pay 80% refunded 100%. Hope this makes sense…

        • @Shibbyyy: it makes sense I didn't see that , but how can you return the item ? Any target store ? Or have to post it back from where it came from ?

        • @CrazyMexican:
Just my local store, although it does say you can post it.

  • Seems to be a fair amount of comment about the games being over priced, fair call, but even if they were the best prices at 'new' surely this isn't a bad deal for someone looking at buy one with games.

  • Just a fair warning that the trade in price of most of all games is between $10 ~ $15, so it means that you can get maximum $70 - $105 back in credit on stores like EB Games or similar. It pay up for one new game :(

Would be a decent deal if there were at least 1 or 2 good games included.

    • Infamous and Rayman are good but now not worth more than 20$ each :)
