RandomNinja, what age is the female or age range would the possible females be?
IF they are a bit younger, Sportsgirl have a gift pop up shop on their website http://www.sportsgirl.com.au/gift-pop-up-shop/ with some cool stuff on there.
If you head into town hall, head towards the kathmandu exit. There are heaps of camping/travel/hiking stores on either side of that street where you might find something cool. i quite like adventure mega store which i bought a really cheap shoulder bag there for $10-15. The online store is more expensive
or a pink 8gb data traveller slim from 9289 or ebay :P
You can get a Toshiba one for $14 at Harvey Norman
This slim though?

but yeh $14 :) might go along today
Haha nah, it wasn't that small but it was still small enough for me to lose >=/ It's about the size of the USB plug for a wireless mouse, maybe a tad bit shorter and with a cap on it. I found a pile of them in the bargain bins towards the register
Ever seen those solar-powered nodding ornaments? The recipient will probably put it on their work desk so whenever you see them it's there nodding away and you can have the satisfcaction that it's courtesy of you. Sadly all the 'cute' ones on DX seem to be sold out though so you best try eBay or something… not really sure where else you can get them.

You could also give double by adding a keyring size trinket. I've got this glow in the dark flashlight which I'd really recommend:

Or there's also the $1 alternatives which you could probably get away with just by itself if you're really cheap:

You'd want to watch any orders from DX (or most of the overseas suppliers) pretty closely, as delivery time takes even longer these days …
Well, you can always get Myer/Coles etc gift vouchers but since a lot of shops are trying to reduce plastic bags and make us carry around our own re-usable bags, you can get her 1 of these envirosax

I think they're quite funky and cute, and much better than the green woolies versions
Magic 8 balls. Not usually on sale but heaps of fun on the night. Usually gets passed around with people asking some crazy questions and hoping for the "right" answer from the ball.
Hey all,
Thanks for the suggestions, keep them up!
Not sure a chick would appreciate a USB key or other techy gadgets lol But on the same note, maybe a mini plasma ball would be ok…
To look at it from a different angle, if you were the recipient of a Kris Kringle, what would you want? Would love to hear from the ladies!
How about Bond underwear for women, and u can claim $10 back ?
What would you think if you got underwear for Kris Kringle in front of everyone?
I'm female and based on my experience, I dislike receiving anything cheap and edible - for example, cheap chocolates/cookies etc from stores like ALDI or discount stores. I usually just bin them as I wouldn't eat them and I'm too embarrassed to use it as a gift for someone else.
I personally wouldn't mind receiving a decent bottle of wine!
I'm female and a good bottle of wine would get a thumbs up from me! and thumbs down to underwear… and how would you know her size anyways?! Dan murphys has some great bottles for around the $20 mark, you can get a really decent bottle of wine for that price!!
I was at the Australian Geographic store recently, buying some going away presents for a friend. They had these 3D wooden puzzles for $15 apiece, varying levels of difficulty available. They range in designs, from spheres, pyramids, snowflakes, stars etc. My friend quite liked them, mind you he likes puzzles
What about a pot plant. Gift voucher, if she drinks a bottle of wine.
A lifetime membership to Ozbargain - that saves her a fortune, and you $20
OzPete is loved in his office :) :) :)
Oohhhh!!!!! Now I know what I want for chistmas!
Beautiful calendar with pictures of lovely destinations …
Arugh, my office has Kris Kringle this year with a $10 limit and I picked my boss! What do you guys reckon, serious or silly?
surely your boss can't expect a serious present at $10!!
spam :)
Hmmm, I don't know him very well so that's half the problem I think. I ended up getting him a serious present that was on sale - herbs and spices kit from Jamie Oliver. Hope either he or his wife likes cooking.. :)
"world's greatest boss" mug if you want a smile … and a raise :P
We have a $2 shop near work where I've bought cheapo gag gifts.
Previous buys:
Garden gnomes
A duck with a Collingwood hat on
Discounted chocolate (I think it was Lindt Creme Brulee)
Toy cars
A tiara that says Birthday Boy, when pressed sings happy birthday song
a bobble type middle finger
