$30 off on Pet Food Orders of $100 or More OR $20 off Orders of $50 or More @ Pet Circle (New Customers)

353

For new customers, here is the trifecta to save big:

So OzBargain Cat needed some more food and I saw the the above deal for an AMEX cashback. Unfortunately, this promo was expired so I had a look on Google and found these 2 offers. I think the $30 off $100 is a better deal as you get free shipping over $99. They calculate the shipping threshold BEFORE applying the discount so this works out really well.

So I ordered $120 worth of food (competitive prices, free shipping) - $30 = $90 - $15 cash back = $75

After signing up, just continue to their site and place your order. No need to wait for an email. The discount will automatically be applied to your shopping cart when you checkout.

EDIT2: There seems to be issues with Paypal charging the incorrect amount. Best to try using a credit card.

Seems like a good deal. I don't buy dry food a lot, since my dog is predominantly fed raw, but my previous experiences with them has always been positive. Their prices for dry dog food are usually quite competitive too!

  • Shame they charge a lot more for what I'd need :(

    $19.95 @ https://www.petcircle.com.au/product/vetafarm-origins-rodent…

    versus $11.99 @ http://www.mypetwarehouse.com.au/vetafarm-rodent-origins-2kg…

But they do stock a nice range of Vetafarm bird food which is handy for me to know for the future! Didn't know about Pet Circle, so cheers Neil.

    • Says they pricematch at bottom of The page (when click goto deal)

      Thats all I know

  • Cliked on the link they sent.

    Webpage came up saying:

    where did it go?
Sorry, we can't find the page you're looking for.

    • You don't need to click on their email. Just go right through with your order and it applies the $30 or $20 off in your cart.

      • Done just that, got to the last page where you punch in your credit card details and the discount still haven't been applied.

        • I wonder if you clicking through the other link on your email erased the cookie or whatever session variable. Maybe try the process again in incognito mode or a new browser with another email address.

EDIT: Oops, didn't realize you were a different commenter.

        • @neil:

Tried that too - both incognito (well private for me - Firefox) and wiping all petcircle related cookies. It's not the first time it failed to work and I've steered clear from them for this reason alone.

  • Great deal on already great prices and awesome timing given the amex cash back.
    Thanks!

  • great offer, thanks! bundles with the AMEX offer makes this a ripper, only problem is now I'll have 6 months supply of dry food to go with my 6 month backlog of wet food!

  • awesome deal - bought $99 worth of Fancy Feast cat food which was already the cheapest I've seen at $20 for 24 cans, got $30 off, free delivery and $15 AMEX credit. So all in all it cost me $55 for 4 months feed for the little fella

  • Odd, I got charged the full amount. :( Paid with Paypal.

    • I noticed in the T&C for Amex $15 credit, Cannot use Paypal…

Although I dont think this is what ur talking about

      • Nah, I don't have an AMEX card, so that doesn't apply to me.

Was referring to the $30 discount. Will have to call them first thing in the morning.

  • You get the biggest discount by percentage if you order $60 of goods. Shipping costed me only $6.95.

    $100 - 30 - 15 = $55, 45% OFF

    $60 - 20 - 15 + 6.95 = $31.95, 46.75% OFF

    • The AMEX cashback needs to show up as $60 or more on your statement to collect the $15. You would need to thus order $73.05 + $6.95 postage. I think that works out as 39% but don't quote my math.

      • Crap… why didn't you tell me earlier. :((

        • If you have a look at the AMEX Cashback deal:

Register an eligible Card, spend $60 or more on that Card, in one or more transactions, online at petcircle.com.au, between 17 March and 1 June 2015, and receive one $15 statement credit. This offer is limited to the first 8,000 Cards to register.

So just place another order to get your total up to $60. Or better yet, contact Petcircle and see if you can add more stuff to your existing order.

        • @neil: You are my saviour! Just bought another $10 worth of useless stuff to get that $15 cash back XD

  • It said shipping was free then it added it AFTER the paypal total said free shipping.. my bank transaction shows shipping included.

Gonna have to get that one sorted out in the morning.

Also can't find any trace of the order on the 'my account' section of the site, and no e-mail confirming the order.

  • says at bottom, Never Pay more, Pricematch at bottom of screen… Any success ?

  • Nice deal. Thanks neil.

  • Is the discount supposed to show up when you view your cart? I have added this in my cart for $109 but the total is still $109. No discount displayed.

    • Not when you view cart. At checkout.

      • Still no luck. New customer, signed up for the offer but I still get this when I checkout.

Amanda: We have cancelled this offer this morning due to it having been located on a coupon site, due to the voucher being abused the offer is no longer available
Amanda: we do wish to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause

    • I called earlier as I was charged the full amount. Was told that the discounts were not valid discounts authorised by them, hence why when you made payment, it charges the full amount.

  • My checkout showed the discounted price. They just charged my credit card the full price. Have asked for a refund..

  • Warren: I need to speak to our marketing team to see what has happened

Warren: I will contact by email later today once I have further information from Marketing for you.

    Not looking promising…

  • I just called up re my order and can confirm that they are adding the $30 on to all orders that did not appropriately receive the $30 voucher. You'll all probably have to call up to cancel your order.

Buyer beware, these people charge extra amount onto your credit card without informing you. I went through the purchase and paid $90 for a $120 order using my CC. Moment later received an email saying $90 was processed. Half an hour later another email saying that $30 was processed. What is that?! I paid the amount that was shown when I checked out, and they just charged me extra money WITHOUT MY CONSENT! Luckily they didn't take $300! Immediately cancelled the order and asked them to completely delete my account and my CC information.

That's dodgy. Sorry for the hassle. So far only got the original email but awaiting AMEX to update their online transactions to double check.

Last time I'll be using this company.

      • That happened to me as well! I'm gonna call them up to cancel my order.

      • Sadly we are in a digital age now.
Technically those people didn't charge you extra, their system did lol.

People keep thinking they are getting ripped off by somebody, however sadly it is just a imperfect system ripping them off which the people at the store are happy to resolve by cancelling the order.

        • +2

Actually when I called up the person on the phone said once they saw the orders they manually added the $30 paypal charges because we were not deserving of the discount… so.. it was "somebody"..

    • That's lame and illegal.

Same happened to me - went through order process and was shown discounted price throughout the checkout process, then was charged full price (I kept a screenshot of the post-order confirmation screen that showed the full price - the price must've changed after I clicked order now?

Spoke to them via webchat and said I was happy to keep the order if they price-matched petbarn's current price for the cat food I ordered. They said - our price match does not apply to sales items. Really?? What kind of a price match is that?

Anyway, the lady asked if I wanted to cancel and said she would process immediately. Received an email confirmation that the refund had been processed moments later - thumbs up for making it easy to get a refund at least.

  • Signed up… got the email… discount is not working.

If you are going to stop the discount at least take the sign-up promo page down.

  • I was able to get $20 off despite buying over $100. Email confirmation charged correctly after the $20 off, but will check c/c acc transaction for sure.

  • Thank you for your patience. When speaking to marketing about the offer that you had received. They have advised that this offer has actually been closed. So there was not something that you had done that did not trigger the offer.

The offer had been closed as it appeared on a coupon website and as part of our terms and conditions of the coupon itself, Pet Circle reserves the right to cancel referral coupons at any time. Coupons found to be placed on websites will be cancelled by Pet Circle, alongside any outstanding account credits/balances resulting from such usage.

So unfortunately as this was found via a coupon site we had to close this offer.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with, and thank you for shopping with Pet Circle.

  • Well my order has left the warehouse, wouldn't surprise me if the $20 will mysteriously find its way there. Still cheaper than what Pet Barn wants for the dog food even if the $20 and Amex's $15 didn't apply.

    • +1

Yeah, just got a similar email. Still showing the discount in the email.

BTW, Pet Barn have a minimum 20% off on dry dog food today only.

      • +1

I've got a 25% voucher from them (targeted offer) but kinda useless when their RRP is significantly higher than everyone else.

  • So promo was valid at point of order, they then illegally charge extra to my credit card, and now they say offer is subsequently canceled?! How can they get away with that?!?!?!?

  • Don't waste your time asking Pet Circle - I spoke to AMEX and they immediately issued a credit for the $30 - no questions asked (other than me telling them i used an offer which subsequently got expired and they took an un authorised $30)
