    Looks great… but rubbish locations

    211 Nelson Place Williamstown 3016
491 Mount Alexander Rd Moonee Ponds 3039

    • why are the locations rubbish?

      • +47

        Because danj303 can't afford to live there…

        • +6

          Reow

      • +4

They are all outer western suburbs of melbourne, in this context rubbish = poor location for foot traffic

        • +3

I wouldn't have put either of these suburbs in the "outer" category. Although you may be right about the poor foot traffic.

        • +3

          Williamstown is outer?!

        • @a a a:
Sorry guys , just wondering why this comment has been negged - the bloke is stating his opinion , that's all ..

        • @legiong: more outer than cbd.

        • @legiong:

Re-read. I said I "wouldn't" have categorised it as outer.

        • @legiong:
yep. inner stops at croquet club

        • +1

Moonee ponds is really northern suburbs.. And it's far from a rubbish location! $$$ to live there.

        • @a a a:
Sorry, I was replying to Tal_Shiar, not you.

        • +1

Moonee Ponds is neither an outer or western suburb of Melbourne.

Mount Alexander road is a go to for many locals in the area and surrounding areas, parking is pretty poor though.

I prefer the local burger joints. If it's too far for you to travel then bad luck!
When an establishment expands, quality tends to diminish. You can continue to consume your soggy Big Mac burger. Enjoy!

Williamstown is a great spot, such a nice place! that is not too busy, sit in the park and look over the city as you eat :)

This is AWESOME! pity I live in Brisbane :(

Just go to Ben's Burgers instead. Sure, it'll cost you a whole heap more than $1/week, but they're soooo delicious.

      • +1

If you're in the western subs give Poppy's a whirl! Bloody dear, but I've sunk more money there than I'd like to admit.

        • Just down the road from me, LOVE IT! Wouldn't even say it's that dear, fairly priced :)

        • +1

@Benjamin7711: Well that's rather eery, because I'm also very close by… Yeah I don't think its too bad! Compares favourably in price to say Grill'd, Burger Urge etc.

        • @jackary:

Haha. OzBargainers are EVERYWHERE. I'm literally on Sumners Rd, although that doesn't really narrow it down much coz Sumners road is pretty long :P

        • @Benjamin7711: Oh God. I'm also on Sumners Rd. Middle park end. And I am sufficiently terrified. Ha ha!

These burgers are good and so are the chips. Sometimes quality can be inconsistent.
A warning though, they have issued different promotions through groupon, with terms and conditions changing.
There only used to be a surcharge on the New York burger on some of the older groupon vouchers.
They then issued new groupon vouchers with different terms and conditions; applied them to the old groupons; adding surcharges to other burgers and applying them retrospectively.

It's like a reverse gym membership.

    • +5

Like a gym membership, you'll likely use it less and less as the year goes on.

      • +2

That's what they're counting on. It's up to YOU to make sure they pay! Assuming all the burgers are available, that's a different burger each week for 16 weeks before you have to repeat.

PS - seems a bit cheeky that a store called "New York Minute" would charge a surcharge for the New York burger. Although, if the pic is anything to go by, it just looks like a lot of bread - with the Big-Mac style middle layer, but it's so thick!

      • yep i bet in a few weeks they will be opening a gym right next door.

Too bad there isn't a city location like the Rocket Burger deal last November. ($30 for 5 burgers + drink).

The locations are pretty much useless for most of us city based workers.

    • +4

I will definitely go for it if it is in CBD location.

      • +1

Thornbury and Carlton stores opening soon. (not sure if this deal would be valid there, or if you have to specify your store on purchasing the voucher)

        • If Williamstown is outer west, Thornbury might as well be Wodonga

    • +3

If the location was good with lots of foot traffic, they would not have to run such a promotion

    • If only VIC was in the title so you could choose not to open this thread….

  • IF I frequented these suburbs even a few times a year this would be a great deal. Go ten times and they're cheap burgers. Go 50 and that's insane!

Whole year option sold out with 0 sold? Where's the deal? Am i missing something? Looking at it on a mobile website so not sure if that explains anything.

Also the single burger and two burger options are cheaper on scoopon for the same joint.

    • The whole year option is available Friday.

      • Apologies, I misinterpreted available Friday to mean you could get the burgers on Fridays. good deal op shame I can't + it now due to already voting on it.

Burgers were good when we went, very generous servings my work colleague and I struggled to finish the chips because we were so full from the burgers but I hope to get this deal as work is literally down the road, cheers.

I still stand by my comment that the single and two burger deals are cheaper on scoopon :p

      • It available on Great Friday (the week before good Friday)

      • -1

If the deal isn't available until Friday, then why is it being posted on OzBargain today?
There's nothing in the OzBaragin description that states that the deal isn't active until Friday.

    • The whole year option will be available on Friday it says.

Nek Minnit - NY burger closes down.

  • If only mc Donald's had the same deal…

  • And just like that, New York Minute Burger will be closing its doors

  • Strange choice for a name. Do they mean "Minute" as in time, or "Minute" as in size?

    • -3

When your misses says she'll come in a minute, does she mean minute as in time or minute as in size?

  • This place has awesome burgers and chips. Happily paid full price.
Location is bit off centre but great for people living nearby.

  • Can I Get mine posted to Sydney

  • sold out
god damn it's like next door to me too!

  • Its truly sold out now

  • Did anyone even manage to get one of the full year coupons at all?
