Does anyone know of a Chromecast alternative that has an audio out on it? I'm very keen on the idea, especially for streaming services. I want to sign up to Presto (Foxtel broadband, so quota free) but it's not as appealing without an option to watch it on the TV.
My TV does not have audio out, via RCA or headphones, and has total poop for speakers (hence I run external ones).
So yeah, looking for something… anything that might match my requirements!
You could get a receiver with HDMI ports to plug the Chromecast into.
Then it'll have all the audio-out you'll need :)

Can you advise of what make/model the TV is? If it's got HDMI-ARC, it might be worth looking at a HDMI in/out soundbar. Cheaper than a receiver (probably overkill for the size of TV that would omit RCA/3.5mm), get the crappy TV speakers replaced, get a 3.5mm jack for headphones and get to use the standard (and cheap!) Chromecast.

It has AV out so presumably you can just use the red and white RCA audio lines and still use the HDMI for the image.
