They certainly can be good, but half the time they are soggy or undercooked and gross :(

Agreed.. as someone who has eaten lots of kfc chips the best ones are the ones that have been there for at least a few minutes and have HEAPS of seasoning on em.
Fresh chips generally suck, they don't absorb the seasoning as well.

Best tasting? Really? Most of time KFC fries are drenching in oil and soggy. Yikes.
best tasting? nah, red rooster are so much nicer, kfc chips always taste like they used really old potatoes, red rooster chips are always crispier & fresher tasting. And if u get the kfc chips when they nearly run out they are always way too salty coz the salt gathers in the bottom of the warmer tray.
Maccas fries are the BEST TASTING. The whole world can attest to that!
