I have 10,000 fly buys points and I want to use them for a BCF gift card. I know I can apply for a reward but the website says it might take three weeks for them to post it to me and I don't want to wait that long.
Can I convert my fly buys points into fly buys dollars, then go to Coles and buy a $50 BCF gift card there?

You can only exchange your flybuys points into dollars once you've got enough to equal the value of $10 (in other words, you can only redeem them in increments of $10), but that's not at the register. Pretty sure you can use however many flybuys dollars you have at the register..

i've used more than $10 of flybuys dollars as a payment type at the register before.
The confusion seems to be with the Coles Flybuys Mastercard system which will convert 2000 points to $10 off the transaction instantly. In this case I think the limit is $10.
Some people get confused between the type ways of using the points.
The flybuys points can be redeemed for flybuy Dollars and will be automatically loaded onto your Fly Buys card, which you then use as a debit card at the register.
Once you're logged in and start that process, it'll ask you to create a PIN for your flybuys card (which you'll then use at the register when swiping the card to use up those $$)

FB$ may be used in a transaction at a participating store as payment or part payment for purchases (excluding gift cards, itunes cards and smoking/tobacco product purchases). You must present your flybuys card and enter the PIN. FB$ cannot be redeemed via the barcode on the back of any credit card on which you can earn points.
If you do not use all of the FB$ in the transaction, the remaining credit is retained and can be used in subsequent transactions.
It's going to depend on the person who serves you as to whether you can pay for the gift card using flybuys dollars.I bought a coles group card and some other groceries around Christmas and I paid for the transaction partly with flybuys dollars and didn't have any trouble. I don't know whether this will work for a straight conversion.
I have seen mixed answers on this topic. Some people say you can get giftcards with flybuys dollars and some say you can't. My guess is as above, it will depend on who serves you.

sorry to bring this up, again. But i tried buying a giftcard using flybuy dollars recently. But it seems that it doesn't work anymore.
There were some system changes earlier this year so now it's blocked by the eftpos system and not just the operators.
Dont do it in Coles.Go Coles Express,Kmart,etc.It still works.

Yes I've just earned 27,000 points using the rewards app. I went to coles tonight all happy thinking I would walk out with $130 in gift cards (I was going for Google Play credit) but I was blocked by the machine :( denied

Neoika above suggests try using Kmart or Coles Express.
Knowing from self serve, the OS they use at Kmart is older than the one they use at Coles, so that may be a reason it may still work at Kmart.

I'm trying to buy bloody ebay cards using my dollars as can't wait the apparent 3 weeks. Tried at Coles they don't let you. I can't even fine the cards at kmart or target yet either. Does anyone know if they're available at either one of those as well?
