I saw this big notice in today's paper about this class action lawsuit involving multiple airlines that serve Australia. It seems it has to do with alleged price fixing. Some of the airlines have agreed to settle while some have not.
In most of these cases, the lawyers get a good chunk of the money with the rest divided amongst the claimants. Might be a few dollars so could be worth signing up if you agree with the case.
this doesn't look real, bit like the free first class tickets on a qantas facebook (not official one) page a day or so ago.
It's been covered on a number of travel sites.
It does appear to be a long running court case, Transpacific Passenger Air Transportation Antitrust Litigation, MDL No. 1913. Lots of lawyers/firms involved. E.G. CPM Legal. KBK Lawyers.
Not real and yet they would pay for a public notice in the newspaper?
Looks like Virgin Australia is excluded?
