My old Nokia had a good function that the keyboard would gently pulsate a light to notify an incoming. Is it possible to get the iPhone 6 to do this, or get an app?
Flashing keyboard when call/message comes in on iPhone 6

another method is to go to the notifications tab in settings
you will see a section called Include
in that section you can choose phone and or messages
then select Show on Lock Screen for either or both
This means when the phone is locked there will be a display that pops up telling you there is/was a call and or message
Given your phone is likely to be on the desk etc in a meeting, this will still give you an indication on the front screen just like the lighted up keyboard alert you discussed.
The LED Flash for alerts requires the phone to be face down as the LED is to do with the rear camera.
Thanks, yes found LED alerts, but it's not as good as a gentle light pulse on the front facing keyboard. IT pulses until you open whatever it was .. missed call etc.
I did have the 'show on lock screen' on till I saw y'day that security codes from my bank were displayed right on the home page for all to see, so turned that off. I'd still like to achieve the Nokia response, maybe there's an app!
Actually you can avoid the details of the message being shown, by scrolling down in the above settings as I explained until you see
Show Preview, turn this off and you'll see the banks message but no details like your one time pin etc.
Its explained here as well

(Yes it's IOS 5 but its pretty much the same for IOS 8)
Ok thanks, I have done that and I'll see how it goes.
Well, not happy w' the result as yet as I seem to need an app that will continue to flash on incoming until I pick it up and look at it. - any ideas please?
No luck there. You can set it for multiple repeats like 10 but each of those repeats is 2 minutes apart and that looks like it is set.
The LED flash described above can be set for multiple flashes.
There is a Cydia tweak which requires Jailbreak, but again it doesnt keep going. So that's pointless.
The issue related to this will be the use of battery power, so unfortunately it looks like you are out of luck with advice from me. There may be someone else with ideas. You might want to try other forums, OZB is more populated with Android users, as they are a price conscious lot.
Alright thanks. I tried to make it flash 2 mins apart, but wasn't able to find the multiple flash.
