  • Good price for organic Spelt flour - beats buying it at WW - and always nicer to shop directly with the producer.

Just ordered 10kg (5kg wholemeal and 5kg white).

  • Interested, but the Easter pack comes up as the Christmas pack. Make what you will on this. 90 day shelf life. Picky picky me.

    • 90 day shelf life.

Flour is "milled to order" and stored in 100kg airtight containers.

It is sold in 1kg, 5kg and 20kg bags and has a shelf life of 12 months (or six months for the rolled oats).

  • Flour is 75c/kg at the grocery store. How is this a bargain??

        also spelt or unbleached :)

          Also freshly milled

That's like comparing a TCL TV to a Sony TV.

I've tried the 75c/kg flour and it's bottom of the barrel type stuff. Wouldn't even make playdough with it, went straight into the compost.

The other benefit is you're supporting an Australian small business and competition.

      • A good cook can make 75c/kg flour into beautiful food. Just saying.

If you want to eat budget food that's fine, but some people will pay more for premium foods. Spelt is not the usual grain used in flour if you didn't know, it has a nice nutty taste, and once in a while I will buy a loaf.

With the aid of sugar, flavouring and other possibly artificial additives like vegetable gum / sorbitol / colouring to improve taste and texture. Yeah, I was a pastry chef once, you should be aware that your premium bread from Breadtop, 85 Deg and fancy patissiers are not at all selling you organic food.

Ordered a 5kg bag to try but almost gave up when they required me to fill out forms. Shouldn't have to fill in my address information if I'm purchasing with paypal. I have paypal because I'm super lazy, not because it is more secure.

    • Yeah, I almost gave up too. Why on earth should I be required to give them my date of birth - just to order flour. I can understand if alcohol is involved, but for anything else it's just stupid and must cost them lost orders.

  • I've attempted to place an order on two different browsers now but it won't let me pay. Clicking the "Pay Now" button doesn't seem to do anything…

  • Is that how it's spelt?
