Didn't work for me - could receive call (thanks RyanMK) but it didn't activate the voice calling menu. This wwas on 2.12.5 (latest Play store version). Upgraded to 2.12.16 via Whatsapp website but didn't work with the latest version either.

    Just noticed my whatsapp now has the calling option! Might have been after my phone rebooted last night.
