I went to Sydney City Myer just after lunch today and noticed they had $100 off all Apple Mac computers today only.

I asked if this $100 discount also applied to all of the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models that were released earlier this week and surprise, surprise they said YES!

So it's probably the best place to get a new 2015 model MBA or MBP. Plus, you can earn some Myer One points and also use any Myer gift cards you may have, just like I did.

I bought a MacBook Air 11" 256GB SSD model which has a RRP$1,549 and after some negotiation, managed to get a slightly bigger discount of $124.

Forgot to take a photo of the sign showing the $100 discount.

    New pricing for the new models of course. I didn't check if they had the old pricing for the old models though, but the Myer guy said they didnt have stock of some of the old models.

      The new pricing is $200 more for each laptop even for the old models…

        I'm guessing it's due to the current foreign exchange rate? Bet they didn't drop their prices when we were at parity either.

        @groook: they did drop prices when we were at parity, in fact after taking GST into account we were cheaper. Just sucks the AUD has tanked and Apple prices it's products in USD

      I just went there. They had the old 13" MBP for $1599 without discount.

  why not purchase the old MBA? JB has 10% off. Much cheaper than the new one, which is not much updated.

  $100 across all Mac models? So if you are buying one less than $1000, then this is a good deal. But if you are buying a model more than $1000, then you should just wait for Dicky's usual 10% off Mac sale.

  The current JB Hi-Fi 10% off deal should also apply to all of the new models. In store only though as they're not yet online. Confirmed by staff at Bundall QLD store this morning looking when I went looking for a 2014 MBA.
