  • I've just been reading the FAQ… and I am a bit confused… it seems to suggest that whenever you want to access P2P you'll have to switch to a different server/DNS. Seems like an inconvenient way of dealing with it. Am I misunderstanding? Otherwise the price looks decent, and being able to easily access iPlayer (and other sites) is a boon.

    • For P2P you'd use a VPN (only some allow P2P traffic - e.g. Aust doesn't).

For iPlayer,Netflix etc you'd use the DNS service (which is no good for P2P as it still uses your own IP address).

So two different services for two different kinds of traffic.

    • Supabrudda has it correct below. It's recommended to use our DNS servers, in this case Primary DNS is the Sydney server and Secondary could be Singapore. Both locations will still allow you to choose what streaming sites you want to view with region switching.

When you want to utilize P2P, it is recommended to use a VPN connection using approved locations shown on our /network page, and a full list of supported sites on /channel-guide

      Thanks for the feedback!

  • How do you get $au26/yr & what plan is that?

    $us50/yr - 40% = $us30 (~$au40)

    • Thanks for that correction, I've updated the post.

  • What if I used this purely for bittorrent. Worthwhile?

    • possibly, but I would do a free trial first. The Aust VPN doesn't allow torrents, so you'd have to test speed of another country.

But the nice thing is that they're based out of Hong Kong, so your torrenting history should be relatively safe from those who might be interested in it.

Alternatively you could use one of the many free alternatives that work just as well.

    • Free is always good, but I havent had much luck with any of them. Suggestions? (Sorry Ironsocket, having to switch every time I wanted to p2p doesnt suit, really)
