Just bought this from MLN (I bought in-store). I think it's a pretty good deal to share. $299 for this kind of netbook is excellent value. Of course, it uses the lower-powered Z520 chip, but for basic web-surfing, word-processing, it should be sufficient. It also has one of the biggest screens for a netbook around - 11.6". Actual price is $388 before $89 cashback from Acer. Specs from website:
Processor: Intel AtomZ520 1.33Ghz
Memory: 1GB RAM
Storage: 160GB HDD
Screen: 11.6 inch HD 1366 x 768 (WXGA) pixel resolution, high-brightness (200-nit) Acer CrystalBrite LED-backlit TFT LCD
Operating System: Windows XP Home
Built in Devices: Up to 4 Hrs Battery Life, Integrated Acer Crystal Eye webcam, supporting enhanced Acer PrimaLite technology # WLAN: Acer InviLink 802.11b/g Wi-Fi CERTIFIED network connection, supporting Acer SignalUp wireless technology # LAN: 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet # WPAN: Bluetooth 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate)
Just read a review on CNET… apparently the processor is so slow you get frustrated with doing anything on it…
But, great price either way!
EDIT: does this have a 6-cell or 3-cell battery?
