HahAhaHa, I read that as buy one get one free… X2 is the model.
:Pgood unit and good price
for an extra 110 you can get a i3 4th gen not a atom….
http://www.dicksmith.com.au/laptops-notebooks/acer-aspire-15…I'd be inclined to spend a bit extra and get an ASUS Transformer Book (which I own and think is great). My primary issue with the X2 is that Office is only a 1 year subscription, whereas the Office licence with the T100 is permanent.
I've heard reviews saying the keyboard is a bit cramped on that on and thus makes long typing session slightly uncomfortable. Is that true ? The T100 was my first choice until I came along that which kinda makes it a dealbreaker
Would've thought the same thing could be said about the X2 keyboard. The T100 keyboard is as small as a keyboard for a 10.1 inch laptop/tablet hybrid would be, that's the nature of the form factor.
I wouldn't make the T100 my first choice for typing a long document, but for note taking in meetings its fine. I'm used to it and can more or less keep a running transcript, just with shitloads of typos to fix later on.
Spec, just in case anyone is interested.
Operating System: Windows 8.1
Processor : Intel® Atom™ Z3745D
Display: 10.1" HD WLED-backlit WXGA
Resolution: 1280x800
Touch Screen: Yes
Storage: 32GB eMMC
Weight: 0.55KG for the tablet, 0.32KG for the keyboard dock
USB Ports: 1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0
HDMI: Yes (v1.4a)I personally prefer this over t100. I think it has better build quality and the battery life is far better. Also, I personally preferred keyboard dock from Pavilion X2 (well, when I tried both of them out), t100 seems to only have the weight supported by the the joint, so I found it relatively flimsy and it felt unstable. The screen quality also seems to be better with X2 (as in brightness etc). Though this is from my memory so I might be wrong. Though I was getting the feeling that even though t100 is cheaper, I'd go with X2 because of the better quality. Though this is just my opinion.
So I think it comes down your decisions. I wouldn't say t100 is a bad choice but I prefer pavilion x2.
