Id buy them if they had them in my size (14UK/15US).

I have a pair of Lunarglide 5 and they are awesome running shoes.

Mine are the Freak Pack colourway: http://images.footlocker.com/pi/99382416/zoom/nike-lunarglid…

But those black and red ones you could wear for other occasions besides running unlike mine.

    • I am size 15US and always get from east bay. Was interested in this deal but saw your comment first off the list. Typical for people our size, stops at 13

      • Yep same, I have six pairs of Nikes I bought from Eastbay in the last 2 years.

I don't think I've ever seen any deal on shoes in Australia in my size.

  • I've never worn motion control shoes like these before. How much do they differ from neutral shoes like the Pegasus 31?

    • The dynamic stability is good for longer runs. Everyone's feet get tired and start to lapse in strength and flatten out in the arch eventually, but at what stage this happens is obviously different for everyone. The stability of the LG6's is not extreme, unlike a few other shoes (e.g. Brooks Beast) and nowhere near as much as the Nike Structures.

I have seen a few people who are purely neutral footed complain about the LG6 in that they feel it under their arch more (i.e. being annoying but not painful), so it's really up to you. If you're a neutral foot and can go the distance with no worries, then stick with the Pegs. There's nothing worse than running in uncomfortable shoes.

  • Nabbed myself a black/fluoro pair from Wiggle last month for $111. :P

They're a steal at this price if your size is in stock and the colours float your boat.

Lunarlon is the best Nike cushion. Like walking on marshmallows!

    • Agreed, I have the Nike Lunarglide 5. Much more comfy than my Asics Nimbus. I'd jump on these but still have some life in the old ones.

  • How's wiggle.com.au for reliability?

    • +2

Very reliable. Have ordered from them a few times, only one issue - a part of something was missing. They sent me a replacement bit free of charge.

      • +1

        Plus one.
        My bike light was DOA.
They sent a replacement promptly and didn't make me return the non working light.

    • Great. Just make sure to order the right size, because as I mentioned in my post below, exchanging will end up costing you a fair bit in shipping fees.

    How's the Nike Free 5.0? Only $79.93

Like running barefoot? hrmm… more suited to running around an oval on grass?

    edit: reviews seem good… tempted!

    • I very strongly suggest that you try them on before buying.

What I found was that there was much less toe room at the front due to the inflexible plastic strip that is put there and the flatter profile of the frontal area. Compared to for example other "normal" shoes that have more vertical clearance and flexible mesh/textile on top of the toes.

Granted this is my quick observation when I was trying on different Nikes at the store and they only had size 8 (which exhibited the above behaviour but it may have been because it was slightly small for me) and size 9 (which was to me, too big).

    • Depends on your running style. If you have really good form/technique and don't need any real foot support then they are great, but they take a little while to get used to. If you can't get used to them for running, they are super light and make great walking/travel shoes as well.

FWIW, I went through a couple of pairs back in 2010 and each lasted roughly 1000km before they were retired to walking shoes.

    Had to look up overpronation.
Thought it was something to do with the UN

    • +1

pretty much flat feet XD edited description

  • Are these wide? I bought Tailwinds & they were way too skinny. My Structure Triax's are perfect.

    • +1

Nope, they're between narrow & normal imo. I've got the same ones advertised and I have narrow feet which are almost a perfect fit

  • Damn, out of stock in my size

  • +2

Too bad there is no black and white colourway

Wiggle do price-matching, including 7-day, post-purchase price difference refunds if you find a cheaper deal, but only for sellers who are on their "authorised list" of retailers they can match for Australian purchasers: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/h/option/productpricing#

They also have an Australian returns address, but items sent back to that returns centre cannot be exchanged and incur a $15 fee deducted from the refund amount to cover the cost of shipping your item back to Wiggle's UK headquarters. If you want to exchange an incorrectly sized item, it needs to be sent back to the UK returns address, which costs more money and time.

    • Wow, that's a bummer. Hope mine fit.

  • Way better & cheaper than buying from Nike AU website which lists these shoes for whopping $200

  • Great just got one.
Normally wear the AirMax 90s and have been reluctant to try anything else.

  • Not a bad deal. You can get comparable deals @ Nike DFO

received today. picture didn't show that that the inner side of the sole was a beautiful fluoro pink haha

    • I haven't recieved mine. Do they email the tracking number?

    • Mate… I feel the exact same way.. It's way too pink for my liking..

  • Just recieved an email that my order has been cancelled, no definite reason why. NOT Happy, after waiting for a week and nothing shows up at the door step.

    Revoked my vote
