Movie Tickets

Ok…hope Im writing this in the right forum or if anyone can post a link to a already going topic on it.

Cinema tickets…yes I ordered the $11 ones from bigpond telstra…but today went to order and only they have Vmax which is $15 each. I cant afford that.
Does anyone know much about Hoyts Rewards and Cinema Rewards. I like to go to the cinema at least 4 times a week.
ANY websites that can help me get discount ticckets ?
Also has anyone experienced Hoyts Lux ?
I noticed Gold Class for $25 each.

  • Maybe it's just that cinema/movie you're looking at, that only has VMax? My local branch still shows normal sessions for $11 tickets..

Yes thanks..it seems they have normal tickets at the 430pm session and 10am but..at 7pm its vmax at $15 through Telstra. $17 thru Event..and Gold Class..this is for the movie Focus.
I can wait till 10am session i guess ..must be the movie i think because they must take turns on movie rooms .
I must say I was tempted..very tempted to be naughty yesterday and after seeing 50 shades of grey…go into the other movie room next door and sit and watch Focus which was just starting as my paid movie was finishing….this is without leaving the Exit..so just go into the next theatre and sit in a empty spot..of course in my thinking i was scared they may come around and ask for tickets…no i didnt so it..but i wonder how many do do that ?

They can just look up on the computer how many people have paid, and if there are more people than that in the cinema, they know to check tickets. If it is allocated seating they don't even need to check tickets, they just check the seat map and spot the difference.

Will they do it always? Probably not, there are a lot of teenage employees who might let it slide or wait for a manager before doing anything. But its not really worth getting banned from your local cinema for if you go there four times a week, they probably know your face. That is a lot of movies. Are there enough decent movies released every week to make that possible?

If you have joined cinebuzz, you should get every ~12th movie free on Telstra tickets.

They offer a discount on giftcards sometimes, e.g. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/166433 and you can use the giftcard balance to pay for Telstra tickets, effectively getting a discount on the $11
