This is an amazing price on what ended up being a surprisingly good game. Other games in the series also have healthy discounts.

    Great game.

      • Really?
I know there are a lot of QTEs but there's far more third-person action going on.

      • It took me a while to finish, so I call it a game.

Now the The Order: 1886, has a lot of QTEs ;-)

          Press F to pay respects.

  • Here's a question for others who already have this and have played it on an old PC…
How did it work for you?
I have an now old still alive and kicking Core i5 750, with a nVidia GTX275 which runs Skyrim without an issue….I'm womdering if Tit would have enough grunt to run Tomb Raider.

    • Check canyourunit, it can give you a general idea if you can run it.

Tom's GPU hierarchy chart is your friend:

Here are the cards roughly equivalent in game performance to yours:

      Nvidia: GTX 260, 275, 280, 460 192-bit, 460 SE, 550 Ti, 560 SE, GT 650, GT 740 GDDR5

      AMD: HD 4870, 5770, 4890, 5830, 6770, 6790, 7750 (GDDR5), R7 250 (GDDR5), R7 250E

The ones in italics are newish lower-end cards. But looks like this guy is running Tomb Raider with Ultra settings on one of them, just in 720p:

So you should be able to run it very nicely, just with less-than-maximum res and/or settings (more like newer console performance).

Do the registry mod to force the game to run using DX9 features only and you should be able to get 50-60fps average on medium-high settings in 1080p.

      DX9 renderer
      1. Launch the Registry Editor (open the Start screen/Start menu, type regedit and press ↵ Enter).
      2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Crystal Dynamics\Tomb Raider\Graphics
      3. Modify RenderAPI value to 9.

    • Need to know what res you're hoping to run it at.

  • Good game but short story. What is there to do once you completed it having finally upgraded weapons? Are there even any enemies left to use them on?

    • There are quite a lot of hidden tombs to find?

I wouldn't say "a lot" of tombs, 7 in base game + 1 with DLC. Definitely not many when compared to previous games.

Yeah probably my only gripe with it as well, not sure if there was a batman style 'game plus mode' to replay it again with unlocks or not. If so I would play it through again, was really enjoyable. I remember getting the awesome bow from your buddy and thinking…"you jerk, why didn't you tell me you had this like at the beginning!"

    • Roughly a 12 hour main campaign which is fairly standard with most games now days.

It's a great game and at ~32 US cents per hour is damn cheap entertainment if you ask me. No reason at all to complain at that price :P
