ASUS Zenfone 2 Prices Confirmed

Just today ASUS had an event in home country Taiwan that allowed 2000 people to have their hands on the Zenfone 2, and prices have been confirmed.
The most high-end version with 4GB ram is TW$8990, which is around US$285 and AU$369. (Unfortunately AUD is really low at the moment)
The cheapest version is TW$4990 (AU$205), it only comes with a 5" 720p screen and last gen processor.
The $5990 (AU$246) version comes with a 5.5" 720p screen, and the $6990 (AU$287) one comes with a 5.5" FHD screen, which is the 2GB high-end version.

To @scrimshaw, fortunately PhoneArena's info was wrong in so many ways.

Then again, this is selling in ASUS' home country so maybe the prices are lower, but I don't think it's going to be too different for other countries.

    Was just about to buy a G3 or Oneplus One but after seeing this, I'm gonna wait it out!

    I really just wish they would just launch it already. I think it'll be another few months before Australia sees it.

      Yeah, unfortunately getting grey import may be a lot quicker, probably cheaper too.

      That only applies to the previous Zenfone 4, 5 and 6. Asus did mention earlier that Zenfone 2 will come to Australia.

          Pretty expensive, but that's normal when there's very limited availability.
          We'll need to wait till all the high-end ones officially come out and sold by ASUS themselves. (Right now they simply officially announced the prices, but haven't started selling the 4GB one)
          When people resell they just wanna make money, so higher prices are normal.

    Anyone know when/where the 4gb ram versions go on sale? I'm looking at upgrading from my rather defunct Xperia, and tossing up between the Zenfone 6 or Zenfone 2.

      It's just gone on sale on the 23st. All sold out already.
      Expect to see some popping up on ebay, but won't be as cheap.
      (I'm talking about the 4GB ram version)

        Managed to get one out of Taiwan for $550 AUD. (4gb/64gb version). That's a bit of a premium above retail, however I was comfortable with that, especially considering that includes a few cheap extras (case, screen cover etc) + shipping.

    • ZE551ML 2GB/32GB FHD — $389.99
    • ZE551ML 4GB/64GB FHD — $454.99

    $34 for the flipcover. Note the middle range on the Expansys site it claims to have 4GB, however I recall Atom Z3560 ones have 2GB whereas only Z3580 ones have 4GB RAM.
