  So how is this better than the similar offering from Reid?

    The saddle is better, at least compared to the Reid bike my gf is. More padding and comfort. I think Reid have updated the saddle to a brown one, not sure how much better that one is.

    The Reid standard basket is a cane one, tends to start breaking up after a while. Its also dipped wire, so the plastic coating starts to come off.

    The Reid chain guard is rubbish, very flimsy. This seems better.

    The finish seems better than the Reid. My gf's Reid has rust showing through the chrome already.

    And this is quite a bit cheaper.

    Some similarities - the components are similar. Both have Shimano gear levers and RDs but the chainring and cassette are generics. People have complained about the chainring throwing the chain. My gf's Reid does the same thing if the barrel adjuster is a bit out. So a nil-all draw there.

    Also, both bikes have nylon pedals. However the pedals on the Reid bike are still worse, IMO. When I stand up in the saddle on my gf's reid bike the pedals flex. However I think the pedals on this one look a bit more solid.

        A lot of it seems like a good idea. However I cant speak from experience as my gf has one of the older ones.

    True vintage bikes didn't have shimano type gears … other than that its vintage Style.. Now JV you need to open the other eye :)

  This is all good and well, but pursuant to my missus, this bike is not acceptable as it doesn't have a “pretty basket” like the one from Reid. Women!

  It says 66cm in the description

  What height range should the person be who is planning on riding the bike?

  I don't want to purchase if my wife is too short/tall
