Not really a great promo if you have to buy an overpriced ice cream first.

Just saw an ad at my local tram stop and realised there was a Magnum promotion that has been running - 1 in 6 chance of scoring a free Magnum with every purchase.
Consumers must purchase a specially-marked STREETS MAGNUM ice cream product from a participating retail outlet during the Promotional Period and lick through the ice cream to reveal the promotional icon/message printed on the STREETS MAGNUM stick.
Winning Sticks are identifiable by text on the Promotion Product stick, "YOU WIN A FREE MAGNUM" (the “Winning Statement”). If the Winning Statement is not printed on the stick of the Promotion Product, it is not a Winning Stick.
In order to claim a Prize, a holder of a Winning Stick must, during the Competition Period, take the Winning Stick showing the Winning Statement to a participating retail outlet (i.e. any petrol, convenience or local independent convenient store that sells Promotion Products. This excludes main grocery retailers e.g. Woolworths, Coles & IGA in Australia or Countdown, PAK‘nSAVE & New World in New Zealand), and must hand the Winning Stick over at that participating retail outlet.
There is a maximum of 4,249,949 prizes available to be won.
Promotion ends 31st August 2015.

4 bucks for a 4 pack at woolies right now and have won multiple magnums so far
The question is where do you take the sticks to claim the prize.
I've tried 4 petrol stations on the way to work, but none participate in the so called 'promotion'.
Every year Streets runs the same promo, and each time confusion reigns.

Yeah I have no idea, have you tried contacting streets and get them to sort it out? Places that sell them shouldn't be able to refuse to accept them, it's a bit ridiculous.
The 4 places I tried (BP, Unitex, Caltex), all sell the product but refuse to accept the sticks.
It should really be the responsibility of Unilever as the competition holder, to provide a list of places in each state/country where prizes can be redeemed.
Streets/Unilever don't care, and won't provide a list of places to redeem.
I bought 3 Magnums yesterday and got 3 freebies - usually unheard of for me to win anything
