Sony KDL50W800B Alternative

Hi,

A month ago, I placed an online order for Sony KDL50W800B when it was on sale. The TV went out of stock after placing the order and I never received the tv.

Now I've got an option to get an alternative tv with same specs without paying extra. I always have used Sony tv and like that brand due to its reliability but the model I ordered is no longer available (heard that it's been discontinued now by Sony).

I don't know much about TVs so need your help to identify another good model - in Sony, Samsung or LG (I prefer Sony but it's not available).

One of the model I'm looking at, is Samsung UA55H6400. Is this the good one? How old is this model? Any option in any other brand like LG?

    Yeah the picture quality good. However the shiny silver base look very cheap :)

    I am on the same boat as you, and i am even considering getting the older W700B (currently $840 from DSE) because i can find any deals on the new one.
