DON'T make the mistake of buying ANYTHING from DealExtreme.. they ABSOLUTELY useless in sending items within any time frame, and when you ask for a refund it will take FOREVER IF AT ALL to get your money back !
The only thing extreme here is their COMPLETE LACK OF INTEGRITY and CUSTOMER SERVICE !!

If you have bought anything from China recently you should be aware that a few weeks ago the Chinese new year holidays were in effect, which generally means there will be some delays in packages getting delivered overseas.

It's a cheap Chinese goods website, what did you expect?
On the contrary, I have made purchases which were less than satisfying but when I contacted them, they gave me store credit and let me keep the item.
Perhaps you just got unlucky.
On the DealExtreme website, (by going to your account, and clicking on the order number) you should be able to see when you placed the order, when the order was shipped, and when the order was receipted to you - that is when you signed for it with the postman on arrival.
If you wanted to post that info, and perhaps even what you ordered, you could get feedback from Ozbargain people about whether it was a useless timeframe or not. I absolutely agree with you about the difficulty in getting a refund from these sites. 3 or more years ago the service was okay if you had a problem - these days, even if the product you ordered is totally defective, getting a credit or a refund seems to be really hard - the vendor asks you to send photos and videos, a picture of the packaging as well, and then offers just a partial refund. This, the delayed delivery, and lack of really good deals on new items means I don't use these places so much anymore.
The truth is DealExtreme seem to mess up every year about the time of Chinese New Year - and some items take a LONG time no matter when they are ordered. Are DX better or worse than other China mail order places in deliver - who knows, but I think they all take a long time to ship. They all seem to sell the same stuff. Other similar websites: Buyincoins, Banggood, Focalprice, Tinydeal, TMart
I've bought stuff from DX before. Shipping takes ages, my last order took about a month to arrive, but they've generally always arrived. There was one order that never arrived and they refunded me after I contacted them. If you buy from a drop-shipper in China, then you know what to expect.
My android stick from the half price deal ages ago arrived. Though it was my only order so far.
As pointed out above, it's a cheap Chinese goods website AND they're just coming out of New Year…
Also, typing in caps for 20% of your post doesn't get your point across in a more succinct manner… it just causes people to wonder what's wrong with your keyboard.
