I just went to MLN Essendon and picked up four RamBo 8GB USB drives. It can be found on page 6 of their catalogue.
It's bright red. There is an activity LED. The connector is retractible, and while I usually prefer to not have moving parts on my USB flash drives, the mechanism and casing do seem quite sturdy, though the button is slightly awkward for big thumbs.
I did a HDTune benchmark on the drive. At 17.8MB/s, it's a nice mid-speed drive, and faster than many of higher prices.
Apparently RRP is $79.00…Never pay RRP.

MLN has stores at West Melbourne, Heidelberg, Richmond and Essendon. I went to the Essendon store, despite it being further, for this, so I effectively got four 8GB USB drives and a desktop microphone for a total of $64.00.
I can recommend this USB. Had it at least 6 months, if not more, and it still works great.
