20
freetint

For the month of March when you buy your prescription glasses from AusSpecs.com.au you are most welcome to use the discount code "freetint" to have your prescription lenses tinted to make them into prescription sunglasses for free.

This offer applies to all glasses regardless of the price. AusSpecs glasses start from just $29.00 (standard single vision lenses included)

This is a saving of $19.95 ( normally cost of tinting )

To make use of the discount, while processing your glasses through the online system, select the tint option in the colour you desire and in the order summary apply the discount code and the cost of tinting is credited back to you.

One exception to the above is that we do not tint polycarbonate lenses which are standard with rimless glasses.

Please be aware that tinting is a manual process and can add up to 5 days to normal delivery time.

Freight is by Australia Post Express at a cost of $9.95

Hi OP, Is AusSpecs accepted by private health funds such as Medibank?

  • be careful when buying these…if the lenses don't have uv protection they could be actually be doing more harm by dilating your pupils and letting more harmful UV light in to the retina

  • You'll find on this link that Medibank is not supported http://www.ausspecs.com.au/all-about-glasses/health-funds/

  • Hi Madura

Ausspecs is an Australian Company and we are registered with the vast majority of health funds. The notable excepthions are Medibank and HCF.

    Cheers

    Hi sailingpusa

Just for clarity Medibank will not pay benefits to their members for any online purchas from any optical provider for any multifocal or bi-focal glasses.

They will also not reimburse any members for distance glasses or reading glasses with values greater or lesser than plus or minus 3 ( which a great number of our clients have) or for glasses for persons under the age of 16 years.

We were registered for 6 years but this has created so much confusion with our clients and left so many out of pocket because of these changes we have chosen not to support medibank.

    I hope this helps :)
