Book description:
Things are getting weird…
The noobs are piling up. And these aren't your regular old noobs… These noobs are super extra annoying. No one knows where they're coming from, but they're teaming up and getting worse. Sky and SSundee want them out now before they go too far. How will they do it? Will things ever be the same?

Enjoy

    Thanks op.
I'll skip this one. My youngest loves reading minecraft books. Based on the summary, this title comes across as elitist. I'm only mentioning it because you are a rep and because anyone mindful with younger kids (hopefully) wouldn't encourage elitism. Specifically, looking down on others because they've played a game less than you (noob). The world's not a level playing field, but elitism, especially for something so trivial as minecraft, is unwarranted, even if it's meant to be funny.
I am absolutely happy to be wrong (it's a summary after all), but the feedback might be useful on how I perceived the book from the summary.

it also might be seen as being elitist by judging a children's book such as this through adult eyes using only the basic summary as a guide. You could find that your views as such might be described as elitist by others when they read your comments.

      My suggestion?

Download the (free) book, give it a bit of a read, and try and read it through your child's eyes, rather than applying "adult" logic. Kids by default see things through open and trusting eyes, and could perhaps benefit by us (well meaning but over-protective) adults not restricting things too much.

Anyway, good luck with homeschooling your kids!

PS - I'm trying to say that you might be finding something in the book that isn't really there

      I haven't read this but I think I can predict the story…

Starts off elitist then they accept the noobs. It probably teaches kids to not think they're better than anyone.

Probably worth it if you have kids. Screen it first yourself and see if my prediction is right before writing it off. If I'm wrong just delete it.

      • move away from the keyboard, you're only making it worse for yourself.

I'm not interested in joining, but can you give a review of that club?

          ;)

    • Great assessment.

  • Just out of interest, all of the books written by this author(s) has this written on their covers:
    "Featuring Sky and SSundee"

So I google'd Sky and SSundee and I found out they are very famous youtubers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9isymgDHn-A
But there is no indication that the youtubers were the ones who actually wrote the books. So maybe they are just being included in the books as main characters?
