Just about to put through a $300 order through Amazon.com… but it feels odd not entering any coupon codes or cash back links, etc…
What am I forgetting to do? What should I do? Feels awkward paying full price :D

I usually only buy at Amazon when they offer global free shipping. :\
Never entered coupon codes or cash back links, even when I was in the US. I used Prime membership there though but I don't think it's much of a use in Australia.
how often do they offer international free shipping?
Sporadically, the latest one for Australia just ended 31 Dec 2014, I suppose if it gave them good results, they'll have it again soon. It's currently on for Singapore. There's usually a minimum amount btw, around $50-$100.
ebates have cashback on Amazon on certain categories,
otherwise, if no cashback or discounts available, and you still want to purchase, go through http://smile.amazon.com/
It's an Amazon program that donates 0.5% of your purchase to a listed charity that you choose
To be honest (and will probably get negged for this), I would rather have Amazon take the full 100%, than give 0.5% to charities that run with 60 - 80% of their revenue going to salaries and "employee expenses".
Thanks. just clicked on ebates, is it applicable to australia? do we receive cash back to aussie bank account or gift cards?
It also says "click here if u were referred by a friend" - can put your email if u like…
You get paid in US dollars to your paypal account
When paying, choose to pay in USD. Amazon conversion rates are terrible.
good tip, thanks.
28 degrees or Citibank everyday for no conversion fees too
With the exception of CDs/DVDs/Books, Amazon shipping rates make buying locally here cheaper for most of their site, (if they are even available for shipping to Oz).
You should consider whether paying drop-shipping fees will make it more economical than paying Amazon's international shipping rates.
yeah, thats true for the small $ items. I find the big ticket items have very good postage prices. I got a pair of sunnies recently and paid $8 USD. Peanuts in the scheme of things, and give or take on par with local prices.
I have a group of technology users - mostly seniors - who meet once a month to talk about tech (used to be 'fix my pc' now it is 'how does this tablet work')
next month we are discussing buying and selling on the internet
Hello - research on Amazon done!
