Right now there's a sale at the Amazon Apps store. Currently 153 free apps and many more discounted.

Most of the freebies appear to be games I've never heard of with strange and bizarre names (such as the ones to do with ponies) and frankly a lot of it looks like rubbish, but then again I know next to nothing about mobile gaming so maybe there are some decent ones in there?
