My friend is having TPG 79$ plan which includes unlimited internet + unlimited local - international calls. I checked with TPG and they are no more offering same service.
May I know is there any other provider which supports unlimited international calling + broadband in reasonable amount in Sydney?

would you consider a skype world subscription. Think unlimted to India is $200/year but with the half price cards, it comes down to 100 with half price skype gift cards. The pack below for 600 mins is <$8 pm.
How many mins do you need a month? Have you considered lyca/lebara? They sometimes have 0c/min but a 29c flagfall.
Another option would be VOIP with a provider who charge 1-2c/min.
Not sure if this is of any use to you but I use Rebtel's 'callback' feature to make free calls to my family abroad.
It 'costs' us both a local call but they're included in my phone plan and also in my family's plans so makes the call completely free.
I think vodafone prepaid has unlimited calls to India. While not broadband, it might be an alternative to your current mobile plan?
