With the recent bargains at KFC, does anyone have any tips and how to store and reheat KFC pieces/strips. How long can they keep for in the fridge? Can you freeze? How best to reheat?. Despite my username, I am no expert. Any help appreciated.

I love KFC chicken pieces reheated in the oven. 180-200 degrees for about 15-20 mins.
I usually find it tastes better than fresh, because most of the oil leaches out when you reheat it in the oven.
Its probably the same reason why I hate cold KFC. I hate the taste and feel of cold solidified oil/fat in my mouth.
mmm….now i am craving kfc.
they used to have reheating instructions on the boxes.
Ah, those were the days…
Why reheat at all?
Kimberley folklore had residents of some remote Aboriginal communities chartering planes to fly to Darwin to get their chicken fix.
At the weekend, a man advertised and sold a 21-piece bucket of KFC chicken in the Pilbara town of Port Hedland, on a local Facebook site.
He had driven the chicken 243 kilometres north from Karratha, wrapped in aluminium foil.
Unclear whether it was the man or the chicken in the aluminium foil.
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-10-21/rural-fast-food-addict… for the rest of the article. Interesting read. I remember as a kid growing up in the country, if my father went to Newcastle, bringing back KFC & reheating it. It would be a 2 1/2 hr drive.
KFC is a commodity in remote communities aswell as VB
Either a convection, halogen or toaster oven.
As said before, the oil drains out and leaves heavenly goodness behind.
Bucket of wicked wings…..ah….
Just so you know the potato in the tubs is dangerous to eat later.
Sooner, too :p
Any reason why? :-)
I have quite often had some the following day, without any dramas. It's a really high density calorie food in almost liquid form, bacteria love it. It's the one food that management was anal retentive about checking temps on. I used to work at KFC and we were told to tell people this if we thought they would consume later.
I've eating them up to 3 days later. But any of it after 4 hours of purchase, I cook it at least 1 min 30 seconds on high.
KFC is better cold (maybe that only works for hangovers…?)
You should store it in a plastic container in the fridge and heat it up in the oven.
Cold kfc chicken is very salty.
add BBQ sauce before reheating.
I always reheat in airfryer even when I first get it home
One thing I've always wanted to do is a KFC Pizza, with leftovers, or Pastry wrapped chicken.
