How to Identify What Series Model Tiguan I Have?

I have a 2011 Tiguan that i'm looking at selling but before i do i have no idea what model it is. Does anyone know where on the car it might say what model it is? I've tried searching up the vin but can't seem to find out what model it is. I have a receipt from a Mechanic which lists a model, but i don't want to go off that, just in case it's wrong.

Cheers

  • Try asking the VW dealership it was purchased from.

  • +1

I think you can also check by going to the Car Sales website, Select the Sell option and type in you're cars rego plate. And it should come up with the car series/model. That's how I have checked in the past.

    • Cheers mate. I gave that a try but nothing is coming up for any car i type in. Maybe it's a temp problem i'll try agian tomorrow.

  • Take it to a VW dealer or you might be able to find out what engine it has (check under the bonnet) and use redbook to try and work it out.

  • As stated, Carsales is your best bet. Very easy to use and very accurate. You can also get a good feel for the market ie. price based on condition/kilometers etc. Good luck.

5 manuals, 6 autos, narrow down from there based on specs of your vehicle, should be able to work it out easily enough

    • Thanks heaps, this is actually quite useful. Should be able to get it from here.
