Kogan - Fortis Rotating Push up Grips, $19 Delivered, Was $29

70

Was looking for some rotating push up grips, this was the best deal I found and thought it was good enough to share. They support up to 180kg, here's the description given on the page:

Harder push ups, stronger arms!

If you take the strengthening of your upper body seriously, chances are you’ll have push ups in your program. The ultimate bodyweight exercise for your arms and chest, push ups are a great way to keep in shape.

If you’re a bit of a Push Up Pro, you might be looking for a way to get even more out of your push ups. The Fortis™ Rotating Push Up Grips are perfect for this – they add an element of instability to the exercise, which makes you work even harder!

Engage more muscles!

Because of the unstable surface of the Push Up Grips, you engage more of the muscles in your arms, chest, shoulders, back and abs. You get a full upper-body workout just by using your bodyweight and the Grips!

Rotation reduces strain on joints

The Push Up Grips rotate to allow your arms to move more naturally, the same way they move when you throw a punch or do a press up with a dumbbell. The joints in your arm, wrist and shoulders will be safer from strain and injury, allowing you to focus solely on the workout.

Non-slip base keeps you in one place!

It would ruin your workout somewhat if the Grips were sliding out from underneath you! That’s why they’re made with textured tread on the base, to keep you safe and secure.

just do pushups on your own, no gimmick required.

Ha, it can cause wrist pain though, which it has for me. That's a big enough reason for me to buy them as I do push-ups in most, if not all workouts I do

I also do push ups in every work out I do…. But I don't work out. ;)

Knuckle push ups work for me.

That's probably bad form more than anything, 2 ground handle bars will not fix this…

Haven't had any wrist problems doing normal pushups / burpees in crossfit, we do hundreds of them a week

        • Ground handles wont fix that, but these are rotating handles, so effectively you are using different muscle groups than ground handles or just the ground.

They are a definant for me too, as if I do hundreds of pushups and pullups in a week, my elbows get very sore due to some underlying golfers elbow type tendon issues.

If I use rotating pushup handles and a similar for pullups (such as rings), I dont hurt my elbows.

Definitely alot smoother on the elbows / wrists. They were a big marketing gimick years ago with 'perfect pushup', funny thing was they actually were onto something.

Can I use these to climb up the side of a building? Alla Superman 1?

    • you can fashion a bogan version of the impossible mission glass cutter + remover, using this and a grout remove tooland some strings to tie them together…

I'm having difficulty with hand stand push ups, don't think this will help though.

Getting these things to stick to the side of a building during a sand storm is mission impossible.
