I was going to post this on Whirlpool… but I was fearful of the retaliation about being a tightass.
Here, I feel comfortable.
Given the large amount of Netflix Regions available via DNS switching, and the crappy US-AUD at the moment - is realistic to look at signing up a Netflix account in a country where the exchange rate is better?
I mean, as of 23/02/2015: (Basic Package)
Netflix US $8.99 USD -> $10.23 AUD
Netflix Canada $7.99 CAD -> $8.14 AUD
Netflix Brazil $17.90 BR -> $7.99 AUD
Thoughts?
Regardless I think Netflix US is great value… but I am an Oz-bargainer after all…
Probably a good idea if you're on the new plans..
Those of us on the old $US7.99 plans get extra benefits (eg 2 simultaneous streams) apart from just cheaper rates.
Still, I wish I'd bought a few 12 month gift cards back when they were available and the dollar was good.
