Better Music in Canberra give me a consistently great price on music gear - you could give them a call and see what they say.

Otherwise there's a lot on the second hand market. Go to Cash Converters and lowball them.

      • Thanks AlanHB, I think starting with with cash converters would be a great idea for I am actually broke!

The markup at Cash Converters is huge. There's an amazing amount of room for negotiation there. It's an excellent place to buy musical equipment if you know what you're looking for.

I reckon you should be able to get a Pacifica for close to $200 from there. Gumtree would also have some ex-Christmas present Pacificas coming up soon.

it actually sounds good for a small amp https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjhU1OLwQ3A

  • Got it last time for my son (for $79 delivered). It's quite amazing how good it sounds for such a small amp. It's very basic but good at what it does - for extra effects we use iPad (with Line6 Mobile In dongle) between guitar and amp. Being small means easy to store away in kids room.
It's also quite loud - never had it set higher than half way volume and tones.
Great value for ~$60!!! I'd buy another one if I could find use for it ;)
