Hi all
I have finally managed to get some time off work after slogging it out for a fair while working late and starting early trying to get a project across the line and due to the late notice for the project not going ahead I have not planned or booked anything. I am travelling with my wife and 1 year old and maybe in laws may tag along as well. We live in Sydney. We had Port Douglas in mind but only recently realised it is rain and box jellyfish season and therefore may not be the best time to travel there. We haven't troubled much being a young couple with a baby and me working long hours so don't know alot about the best spots to travel to in Aus. Anyway if any of you could recommend some ideal spots our little family to visit on our holiday I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you
Best Aussie Travel location around February

February is still relatively warm in the southern parts of the country.
If you want to do a fly/drive then Tassie is good as stated.
If you want more of a beachside resort then consider northern NSW or SE Qld. Plenty of rainforests and beaches between Ballina and Noosa. You could also do a fly/drive in this area, for example you could even fly into Ballina and out of Sunshine Coast… I could be biased as I'm living at the Sunshine Coast but I do know wealthy people here who do many overseas trips but still say how good we have it here.
Also, what about a cruise?
North Queensland is great but is probably a better option between April-October. Much cooler, no stingers, generally less rain and little/no chance of cyclones. I think definitely visit the Whitsundays at least once in your lifetime.
Based on your post I'm guessing anywhere overseas isn't an option?
Hmm actually the weather between Noosa and Ballina is going to be very rainy until this weekend. And they're still predicting rain after that.

Tasmania is brilliant if you can do it. I have been 3 times and want to go back.
Otherwise, try Sussex Inlet in NSW. I'm also from Sydney and this is my next place to visit. Great reviews from my co-workers.
go camping or a beach house at Hyams beach @ jervis Bay Area
wether looks good quite a mission drive but not very crowdedDepends how long you want to go on holiday for and your budget?
Depends what you like, couple of months ago I went to Tassie with my partner. Hired a car and had a great time. Adelaide recently ranked among top 10 places to visit(in the world) by lonely planet. Or closer to Sydney you have Canberra/Hunter valley or the blue mountains are always nice to visit
