no deal .shipping cost kills it.
the shipping costs are ridiculous
yeah shipping is too much
Well, this same deal did cost more in March (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/11104). You do have to admit though that the postage seems quite extreme for something smaller than a 5c piece, and interestingly it's about 6 times more than what they wanted for a full size SD card.
Bought a Kingston one for $9.00 a week ago (sold out now)
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11241never feel confident buying branded stuff (e.g. kingston) from dealextreme…..
genuine kingston from dealextreme? any idea?i think $12.94 ($6.95 + $5.99 shipping) is definitely not a bad price, as its delivered to my mailbox. i hope they have good deals for 16gb or higher as 4gb seems to be quite small nowadays….
just over 10 bucks each if you buy 3………just enough for a positive from me.
Although I agree that the shipping seems somewhat extortionate……Bought 2, a fair price! on the second thought, should be bought 4 from DX to get $20 cashback from Paypal.
Well that's a good thought but the PayPal deal has expired.
Also returning faulty goods to Dealextreme is no easy task - and yes I buy often from dealextreme
the paypal deal is good until melbourne cup day
Correct - was looking at the text in the original post which remained at the 31st Oct - Thanks I have now amended the original post to say 3rd Nov 2009.
The expiry date was correct in the expiry field, guess that had been amended, but the posting text had the old date
Thanks for pointing this out.
Compared to certain walkin stores and retailers.it is a bargain. I want to see someone walkin ijk. Or fluidtek. Or msy. Without even mentioning the harvey's of the world and get a 4gb at this price. People perception of bargains is becoming a little unrealistic. Do u all want it shipped for $1. Camon. Be thankful there is companies out there like shopping square still getting amazing deals. And yes incase someone is going to point it out. Yes I'm a rep for store. Fluidtek if you must know.
Good on ya. Shopping square. Positive for me.Bargaincrypt - you make some very valid points - there are some very critical people here when it comes to pricing - personally I think they are sometimes quite unreasonable. Some of the same people love 10c off their Coke, where buying generic brands would save more than a dollar or so, then, when it comes to technology they will quibble over the postage and ignore brand quality.
But all that said, this is THEIR bargain site, they come here to play, they buy from here and it costs nothing for a retailer to play. If a retailer relies on sales from this site, they better offer big bargains, the rest are nice incremental sales
MOST here can make their evaluation on the comments, that's why all negative votes can only be made when a comment has been made, so at least we can in most cases understand why they don't like the deal.
This is not to criticise your post its just to help you understand theirs
The shipping cost is $5.95 for Melbourne
