Looking for a Cheap Dentist - Need a Bite Splint! (Melbourne)

I have pain in my jaw, which 'clicks'. My dentist has said that I grind my teeth at night, and that's the cause of my clicking jaw.

He said the solution is to get a mouth guard type device to wear at night time, which will stop the grinding.

He told me that this device will cost around $600!

So now I'm looking for a cheap dentist who can do the bite splint at a good price. If anybody could give me some dentist recommendations that would be fantastic!

Also: has anybody else gotten nocturnal bite splints? If so, how much did you pay?

    I got one and paid 300 for it. ring few places to see if they provide price over the phone.

    Alternatively you could try a normal sports mouth guard which was the "cheaper" option my dentist told me about.

    Ended up not using anything as my teeth grinding miraculously disappeared once I finished Uni.

    Mine only cost $200 from my dentist. Ring around and get a few quotes.

    dental schools used to take the public. You have students working on you, but all are supervised.

    My dentist told me around $500.
    I wonder how they come up with such a range of prices.

    I used one for very short time, luckily at the time I was pregnant in the UK therefore it was free. I hardly used it, as I coulsnt get used to it.
