I bought it about 6 months ago and for the last month it seems to of start making a ticking kinda noise.
It's definitely coming from the power supply, this can't possibly be good right?

Sounds like the fan i think.
My Case had a dust filter on the outside underneath the PSU which gets cleaned every month or so.

This person has the exact same PSU and the same sound.
You should probably contact Corsair. Thermaltake replaced my entire PSU because the fan bearing started to make a helluva noise every time it powered down. They didn't reimburse me for postage though.
Too bad Corsair don't have proper Australian warranties, also probably avoid some ranges of corsair psus in the future link
Depends on what the ticking noise is, it might be from the transformers or capacitors - could be a case of what people call "coil whine".

This is a youtube vid of the same PSU from someone else with the same noise as mine.
is that ticking? sounds like someone is washing up dishes in the background :)
RMA. if its not in warranty i'd be replacing the fan.
If it's only 6 months, take it back to the place of purchase. They might decide to replace it on the spot or they might send it for repairs. Either way, you won't be out of pocket.
Is it the fan? Either clipping some wires or dusty? Remember it is quite dangerous to open a computers PSU.
