Bicycle Network Victoria and Infinite Rewards - 5% off Woolworths & Coles Gift Cards + Others

100

Membership of Bicycle Network Victoria now gives access to the Infinite Rewards scheme, which gives access to 5% off Coles and Woolworth Gift Cards as well as other 5% to 10% gift cards/purchases.

For those who aren't familiar with BNV, its a leading cycling advocacy group. They also run events like the Round the Bay in a Day mass ride, and the upcoming Ride to Work Day. Membership is $119 annually for a single adult, and while it supports the activities of the organisation, membership also gives you a limited personal injury insurance coverage. Which is probably the key reason to join up as you're not going to get cheaper coverage.

I'm not sure why they don't publicise it more widely, but membership now gets you into an Infinite Rewards scheme. I didn't know it gave you access until after I joined. Anyway, this rewards scheme gives you access to 5% coles and woolies cards, as well as other offers:

  • 10% off Thrifty Car Rental
  • 20% Melbourne Aquarium
  • 5% JB hifi gift cards
  • 5% super cheap auto gift card
  • 10%Ticketmaster card
  • Cinema discounts - Palace, Cinema Nova, Hoyts, Village, Greater Union, Dendy - (you're probably not going to join up to access these deals so I can't be bothered listing each deal. Suffice to say they are cheaper than the box office and its nice to know you can get them).

Plenty of offers from businesses I haven't heard about. Too numerous to mention. But I've listed the big ones above.

I appreciate others may have other ways to access the program, but access through BNV was a pleasant surprise for me. The discounts aren't massive, and won't be a reason to join, but the grocery card discount should be enough to earn back the membership fee at least.

Lastly, ordering the discount card is via the Infinite rewards website. There is a surcharge on credit card and pay pal, but none on direct transfer. This aspect of the deal is a bit of a pain.

covers personal liability insurance when you are riding. only worth it if you ride you bike alot. suits people who ride to and from work. well worth it in my opinion.

      • I did 8000km on my bike last year, a mix of commuting, road riding and trail riding. For most casual cyclists $119 is pretty steep, but like you say, for frequent riders its not that much.

Mountain Bike Australia (MTBA) members have access to the same deals on Infinite Rewards too

  • Just noting that the terms and conditions say it will take up to 14 days to deliver an e card.

However, I made a transfer on thursday, received an email with the card the next day on a Friday. Pretty good.
